Community Rides Together for a Great Cause: Bike the Bus Route Raises $8,929.50
TERRACE BAY, ON – OCTOBER 8, 2025 – The North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH), Holy Angels Catholic School (HAS), and Schreiber Public School (SCPS) are thrilled to announce the incredible success of the Bike the Bus Route fundraiser, held on September 25, 2025.
Together, participants, students, staff, and community members raised an outstanding $8,929.50 in support of Wilkes Terrace Long-Term Care, with a portion of proceeds also benefitting school nutrition programs at HAS and SCPS.
The total funds raised will be distributed as follows:
- Holy Angels Catholic School (HAS) – $1,488.25
- Schreiber Public School (SCPS) – $1,488.25
- Wilkes Terrace LTC & McCausland CCC Fundraising Committee – $5,953.00
The event saw teams from NOSH, HAS, and SCPS compete in a friendly 24-kilometre bike challenge along the distance of a local bus route. Congratulations to Crystal Roen, Adam Brown, and Nancy Houston, who all completed the full 24 km route!

Special thanks to Holy Angels School (HAS) and Schreiber Public School (SCPS) for their enthusiasm, commitment to our community, and outstanding fundraising efforts. Appreciation is also extended to all HAS, SCPS, and NOSH staff who took part in the event and helped make it such a meaningful success.
Funds raised will go toward the purchase of a tub trolley for Wilkes Terrace, enhancing the dignity and comfort of residents living with advanced dementia or receiving end-of-life care.
