Bike the Bus Route Fundraiser
In support of Wilkes Terrace Long-Term Care
It is with great excitement that North of Superior Healthcare Group, Schreiber Public School (SCPS), and Holy Angels Catholic School (HAS) are announcing an upcoming, collaborative fundraiser in support of Wilkes Terrace Long-Term Care Residence with a small portion of proceeds being returned to the nutrition programs at SCPS & HAS. Fundraising begins NOW!
Our collective fundraising efforts will culminate in a “Bike the Bus Route” event held on September 25, 2025, between Township of Schreiber and HAS property locations. Students, their families, and Schreiber and Terrace Bay community members will be invited to join us beginning at 11:00am to witness 6 members of the North of Superior Healthcare Group face off against 3 members of SCPS staff and 3 members of HAS staff (on a combined team) together in a 24km bike race, the distance of a local bus route – hospital versus school fun challenge. While the race is occurring, a free community BBQ and wellness vendors will be available. It is sure to be a great event and we are seeking your support to make the fundraising outcome successful.
For some time, staff at Wilkes Terrace have identified the need to purchase a tub trolley which will offer a dignified and inclusive bathing experience for residents living with advanced dementia or receiving end of life care. At a cost of approximately $14,000, we are coming together as a collective group to support senior residents of our community into the future with a goal of fundraising as much of this cost as possible. Donations can be made in-person at the McCausland Hospital Reception or online by visiting: www.nosh.ca/donate and selecting “Bike the Bus Route” as the fundraiser option. A small portion of proceeds will also be donated back to the nutrition programs at SCPS & HAS, an ongoing need also.
In closing, we appreciate your enthusiasm for supporting current and future senior residents of our community. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to any of us.
Sincerely in partnership,
