North of Superior Healthcare Group Surpasses $2 Million Goal in Families Closer to Home Campaign

MARATHON, AUGUST 26, 2025 — The North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) is proud to announce the successful completion of its Families Closer to Home fundraising campaign, having raised an astounding $2,142,162.92 —surpassing our $2 million goal.

This remarkable achievement provided direct financial support for the construction of the new 14-bed Barrick Care Long-Term Care Home, four (4) renovated Continuing Complex Care (CCC) rooms and a new CCC Nursing Station in Marathon, ensuring that more patients can receive the care they need, surrounded by their loved ones, right here at home.

“The success of the Families Closer to Home campaign is a testament to the strength and compassion of our communities,” said Adam Brown, CEO of NOSH. “With your support, we've brought meaningful, lasting improvements to healthcare in our region and helped build a space where care and dignity go hand in hand.”

NOSH extends sincere thanks to every donor, partner, and supporter who contributed—whether through financial gifts, fundraising efforts, or community advocacy. This campaign has demonstrated what's possible when we come together with a shared vision of accessible, local care.

WHAT'S NEXT: FUNDRAISING FOR VITAL MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

With the Families Closer to Home campaign now complete, NOSH is turning its focus to the purchase of critical medical equipment that will further strengthen patient care across our facilities. We are now fundraising to acquire:

  • A cardiac heart monitor for Wilson Memorial General Hospital in Marathon
  • A portable x-ray unit for McCausland Hospital in Terrace Bay

These essential tools will improve diagnostic capabilities and ensure timely, high-quality care for patients in our communities.

Thank you for helping us reach this incredible milestone. Your generosity has already made a powerful impact—and we invite you to continue walking with us as we invest in the future of local healthcare.
