NOSH Donates MV1 Van to Support Marathon Fire Department Training

MARATHON, ON – The North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) is proud to announce the donation of a 2014 MV1 Seniors Van to the Marathon Fire Department. This act of community partnership reflects NOSH's ongoing commitment to supporting local emergency services and enhancing public safety across the region.

The vehicle, previously used to transport seniors as part of NOSH's community programming, has now found a new purpose—providing vital hands-on training opportunities for local firefighters. The donation was made official earlier this month with NOSH and Fire Department representatives coming together to mark the occasion.

“With this donation, we're pleased to support the Marathon Fire Department in its mission to keep our community safe,” said Adam Brown, Chief Executive Officer at NOSH. “This van will be used in training scenarios that help prepare volunteer firefighters to respond effectively to real-world emergencies, including Motor Vehicle Collisions, Extrications, and Fires.”

The MV1 van will be used in simulated emergency response exercises, helping volunteers learn and practice life-saving techniques in a controlled, realistic environment. These efforts are essential in a community where first responders are often the first—and sometimes only—line of defense in urgent situations.

NOSH's donation underscores the organization's broader role in promoting community wellness beyond clinical care. By investing in local partnerships and emergency readiness, NOSH continues to demonstrate its dedication to building Healthy Communities.
