The Schreiber-Terrace Bay Handi-Transit Service is owned by the Townships of Schreiber and Terrace Bay.
The service operated by The McCausland Hospital on behalf of the Townships.
Passes are available for purchase at reception. $40 each
When is it Used?
The Service is NOT just for medical appointments. You can book the Handi-Transit van for ANY trip within or between Terrace Bay and Schreiber - shopping, attending a meeting or just visiting!
Who is Eligible?
All residents of Schreiber and Terrace Bay who are 55 and over OR who are temporarily or permanently disabled.
Rates
In Town
- $5 per ride (each way)
- $5 per companion (each way)
- Free for registered caregiver
- $2 for each extra stop
Between Town
- $8 per ride (each way)
- $8 per companion (each way)
- Free for registered caregiver
- $2 for each extra stop
Emergency Rides
- $20.00 per ride (A same day ride home from the Hospital Emergency room)
