North Shore Diabetes Program

 

The North Shore Diabetes Program was launched in June 2013 and is administered through the McCausland Hospital and the North Shore Family Health Team. 

Andrea Kennedy, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, look forward to providing education and support to clients in our communities.  They will assist people with Diabetes, Pre-diabetes or who are at risk of developing Diabetes in reaching their goals. 

Appointments are available on Wednesday mornings at the McCausland Hospital and Wednesday afternoons at the J.E. Stokes Medical Centre.  Please contact the Family Health Team at either location for an appointment.

Marathon Diabetes Clinic 

 

The Marathon Diabetes Clinic was established in Marathon in 1992 and provides diabetes education to clients and families diagnosed with diabetes in the communities of Marathon, Biigtigong Nishnaabeg and Netmizaagamig Nishanaabeg.  This program is funded by the North West Local Health Integration Network (NW LHIN).   The Marathon Diabetes Clinic is a part time program staffed by Kim Luby, RN and Certified Diabetes Educator and Michelle Broughton, Registered Dietitian.  The clinic is open during regular business hours Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
